Job Title Senior Linux Systems Automation Engineer Shift timings 2 PM to 1130 PM IST Location Gurgaon Client Office Role Overview Primary focusLinux OS migrations CentOS Rocky Ansible automation US morning overlap coverage Best described asLinux operations and automation specialist TeamOn24 Cloud Infrastructure About the Role We are looking for a Senior Linux Systems Automation Engineer to join the On24 Cloud Infrastructure team You will help with the migration of our Linux estate from CentOS to Rocky Linux automate infrastructure operations with Ansible and support production systems including coverage during US morning hours You will also help run our ELK stack and support its migration to Datadog Key Responsibilities Plan and carry out Linux OS migrations from CentOS to Rocky Linux across production and nonproduction environments with minimal disruption Build maintain and improve Ansible playbooks and roles for provisioning configuration management patching and migration tasks Support production Linux systems respond to incidents troubleshoot find root causes and carry out fixes Provide coverage overlapping US morning hours for operational support and escalations Administer and support the ELK stack Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana and assist with the migration of logging and monitoring to Datadog Document runbooks migration procedures and operational standards Work closely with Cloud Infrastructure SRE and application teams to coordinate changes and maintenance windows Technical Requirements Technology area Requirement Linux administration RHEL CentOS Rocky including advanced troubleshooting tcpdump straceCore requirement CentOS Rocky Linux migration experienceCore requirement Ansible automation playbooks roles inventoriesCore requirement Production support incident responseCore requirement ELK stack Elasticsearch Logstash KibanaStrongly preferred Datadog agents logs monitors dashboardsStrongly preferred Scripting Bash PythonPreferred Linux networking storage and performance tuningPreferred Qualifications Senior level handson experience administering RHELfamily Linux in production environments Proven track record of delivering OS migrations or largescale upgrades Strong troubleshooting skills at the OS network and process level Able to work independently and communicate clearly with distributed crosstimezone teams Available to provide regular overlap with US morning hours
