Job Details: Job Location: 1818 NORTH MAIN STREET - NILES, OH, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Position Overview: BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Mechanic for our Niles, OH Plant. The Building Maintenance crew works with a team to cover 24/7 operations, schedules are 8-hour shifts. The Building Maintenance crews manage the upkeep, repairs, and additions to the current 400,000 Square foot BRT facility. This individual would need to possess MIG and stick welding skills (does not need to be certified) and basic carpentry skills.    Company Overview: BRT is a growing aluminum extrusions company. Essential duties of the Building Maintenance Mechanic: These are some of the general building maintenance duties, these do not cover all duties.Individuals in this role will: • Frame and finish construction projects • Hang and finish Drywall • Identify and fix basic electrical • Make basic plumbing repairs • Make roofing repairs • Sheet Metal work • Welding and Pipe Fitting (MIG and Stick) • Drive Forklift and transport material for specific projects as needed Qualifications: 2 years’ experience doing maintenance repairs - manufacturing environment is preferred. Basic welding skills - MIG & stick Basic carpentry skills Must be willing to work 8 or 12 hour shifts with a varying schedule. Must have and use organizational skills to manage building maintenance priorities. Must use all required PPE and follow all Safety policies and protocol. Must have Forklift driving experience. Must Read and write and communicate with supervisors and employees in English. Must have experience with most maintenance related hand/power tools. Must have better than average math skills. Must have and maintain good attendance. Must follow all Company Policies. Must be willing to participate in all required job and or employment related trainings. This includes but is not limited to all safety and technical or role or tool specific trainings.
