This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the produce department, assisting customers with their inquiries, and adhering to food safety and health regulations. The Produce Clerk plays a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience by ensuring that all produce is fresh, well-stocked, and attractively displayed. Key Responsibilities: - Stock, rotate, and organize produce to ensure quality and freshness, while removing any damaged, spoiled, or expired items. - Maintain cleanliness and organization within the produce department to ensure a pleasant shopping environment. - Assist customers by providing product information, answering questions, and offering recommendations. - Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary to ensure availability of produce. - Prepare items for display, ensuring they are attractively and effectively presented to maximize sales. - Ensure proper storage and handling of temperature-sensitive products to maintain their quality and safety. - Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. - Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and enhance overall store performance.
