Join our laboratory team as a PRN (as needed) Pathologists Assistant! Pathologist Assistant needed to help with daytime coverage of grossing surgical specimens! GENERAL OBJECTIVES: • Performs procedures to prepare surgical specimens for diagnostic pathology under Pathologist’s direct supervision. • Utilizes resources and techniques effectively according to established policies and procedures. • Maintains skills and knowledge to promote the Pathology Department’s services. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: • ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Certification preferred. Experience: • One (1) year of experience in Pathology Assistant role. • Knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the histology department. • Knowledgeable regarding surgical and autopsy pathology • Knowledgeable regarding the identification of all tissue specimens. • Knowledgeable in the preparation of frozen sections. • Basic computer skills • Prefer Knowledge and use of voice recognition. SALARY RANGE: • $48.62 to $72.92 /hour +14% PRN Differential Pay. • Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
