Borden Hauling / Waste Connections is urgently hiring a Local CDL Truck Driver – Front Load at our location in Elkhart, Indiana. If you’re an experienced Class A or Class B CDL driver looking for a local truck driving job where you can be home daily, this is a great opportunity. Our local CDL drivers operate commercial front load garbage trucks on established routes throughout the Elkhart area while providing dependable service to our customers and community. Safety is our top priority, and we’re looking for a professional local truck driver who takes pride in safe driving, reliable service, and taking care of their equipment. What you'll do: • Safely operate a front load garbage truck on assigned local routes to collect solid waste. • Follow route sheets and service each customer assigned to the route or by the dispatcher. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluids, tires, lights, and safety equipment. • Safely maneuver a commercial vehicle in residential, commercial, and industrial areas. • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers. • Communicate with dispatch regarding route, service, or equipment issues. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. What we need from you: • Valid Class A or Class B CDL. • Clean driving record. • At least 1 year of local route driving experience. • Experience driving commercial trucks or other heavy-duty CDL vehicles preferred. • Commitment to safe driving and dependable attendance.
