Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. Local Team Collaboration: • Join a collaborative care team and use your hospital medicine experience to advance high-quality, patient-centered care in a welcoming community. • Practice alongside five hospital medicine physicians committed to improving outcomes for the community we serve. • We are an integral part of the hospital and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and providing Emergency Medicine services in addition to Hospital Medicine. • Our team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement. • Outside of work, we come together for social events to celebrate special occasions and share common interests like food and sports. Qualifications: • Board-certified/eligible in internal medicine. Family medicine can be considered with demonstrated hospitalist experience. • Ability to manage ICU patients without intensivist backup. • Procedural competency preferred. • One year of hospitalist/nocturnist experience preferred for nocturnist role. • We proudly sponsor J1 visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound. Scheduling: • Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation. • This is a nocturnist role, and shifts will generally be 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. • We understand the importance of spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. Key Responsibilities: • Providing inpatient care to a small, acute care hospital with an open ICU and minimal subspecialty support. • Deliver exceptional care in a community-centered practice where your expertise helps shape better outcomes for the patients who need it most. • Manageable census and opportunity to practice with autonomy. • Candidates must be comfortable with vent management and responding to rapid responses and codes.
