Our client, an established organization in the oil & gas industry, is seeking an Account Manager to join their team. This role focuses on supporting sales activities within the Gulf Coast region by managing quotes, customer orders, and demand planning. Salary + Additional Benefits: • $105,000-$125,000 + 35% target bonus • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance • 401K – company match Location: Houston, TX Type of Position: Direct Hire Responsibilities: • Receive requirements from customers, work with purchasing team, and return quotes to end users in a timely manner • Maintain customer forecasts and demand planning information within the company’s ERP and proprietary systems to support inventory management and supply chain planning • Upon customer acceptance, transform quotes into sales and procure material needed • Manage order fulfillment activities, including coordinating logistics, staging yard deliveries, and customer shipment requirements to location • Serve as liaison between the customer and accounting/invoicing personnel to ensure proper billing • Run monthly and quarterly reports to identify slow-moving or obsolete program items, and actively work to move those items into alternative opportunities • Prepare and enter mill direct purchase orders, threading orders, and inspection orders with vendors, following up as orders are in process • Communicate with outside sales and stocking locations on quotes and sales orders • Communicate with management regarding competitive information and inventory issues • Forecast monthly shipments in inventory dollars for the specific area of responsibility • Provide sales coverage on weekends and after hours, on a scheduled rotation Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree, required • 3+ years of inside sales or account management experience • Tubular/OCTG/pipe experience, required • Effective communication skills, both oral and written • Working knowledge of ERP systems and familiar with supply chain and inventory management • Open to travel domestically (10%) Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
