We also take med/surg overflow and cardiac overflow. We are a center of excellence with certifications in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacements and Hip Fractures. Job Summary Job Summary • Provides basic patient care • Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment • Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse • Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures • Facilitates processing of patients • Provides clerical receptionist support • Provides coordinating support • Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department Qualifications Education • High School diploma or equivalent GED. • Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Experience • Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience. Licensure/Certification • Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred Schedule 7p-7a Work Shift Night Position Type PRN
