In this Director of Special Inspections opportunity, you’ll help lead high-impact special inspections strategies across challenging New York City projects with direct influence on quality, compliance, and regulatory outcomes. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director Of Special Inspections position include: • 8+ years of NYC construction, inspections, or expediting experience • Leadership experience and high-level NYC DOB interaction preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture; active NYS PE or RA license required • Expertise in NYC Building Code, Chapter 17 Special Inspections, and DOB procedures • Working knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code and ASHRAE standards • Engineering experience across HVAC, plumbing, cross-connection, and wet/dry sprinklers, including standpipes • Ability to support design calculations, load calculations, and hydraulic calculations • Co-lead firmwide Special Inspections operations, oversee quality control and complex inspection strategies, manage regulatory risk, and mentor staff Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
