Qualifications and responsibilities for this Asphalt Field Construction Manager position include: • Hands-on pavement construction knowledge. • Conduct site surveys to identify problem areas for scope creation. • Check the type and condition of drainage and perform material and soil testing as needed. • Upload completed surveys, reports, and photos into the PaveIT system and submit them to the Project Manager. • Travel to job sites 80%+ of the time and monitor work from start to finish to ensure each phase is completed properly and reduce punch list items. • Serve as on-site quality control manager by documenting adherence to specifications and requirements. • Ensure safety procedures are followed per KAI safety policy. • Communicate daily with the assigned project manager and conduct pre-construction meetings and morning schedule reviews with the customer’s representative.
