A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support its Atlanta, Chicago, or Nashville office. This role supports commercial real estate transactions from letter of intent through closing. The paralegal will prepare contracts, lease and rental agreements, and closing documents, and will prepare and track closing checklists through completion of the closing binders. Additional responsibilities include forming limited liability companies and other entities; performing UCC and other searches; obtaining, preparing, and filing certificates, statements, amendments, and forms; and obtaining deed records and documents from various governmental agencies. The role also involves reviewing due diligence materials and title reports, preparing legal descriptions of land, and monitoring financial transactions and foreclosures. The paralegal will attend closings, help negotiate contracts, and facilitate communication between buyer’s and seller’s counsel. Candidates must hold an ABA-approved paralegal certification and have extensive commercial real estate experience in a law firm environment. The ideal candidate is a professional, organized self-starter who works well with staff and clients at all levels in a fast-paced setting.
