Job Title Travel RN – Emergency Room Location Overland Park, KS | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Mid-Shift (Days) | Shifts may range as early as 10:00 AM–10:30 PM or as late as 1:00 PM–1:30 AM | Every third weekend required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department operating as a Level 2 Trauma Center with a 1:4 patient ratio • Perform triage and deliver care across trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis presentations • Execute all procedures associated with a Level 2 Trauma Center environment • Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation • Operate unit equipment including Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitor systems, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps • Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication framework and whiteboard use Required Qualifications • Current Kansas RN license • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • ENPC or PALS certification required • TNCC certification required • NIH Stroke Scale certification required • Minimum 2 years of Emergency/Trauma RN experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center Preferred Experience / Skills • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN (Trauma Certified Registered Nurse) certification • CPI certification • Familiarity with Meditech documentation system • Strong knowledge of trauma care, STEMI protocols, stroke care, and sepsis management Why Join Us • Work in a fast-paced Level 2 Trauma Center with a collaborative core team and access to advanced clinical equipment • Expected 48 hours per week may be available, offering strong earning potential for qualified travel nurses
