The Manager of Medical Staff Services oversees the credentialing, privileging, and application processes for medical staff and allied health professionals. This role serves as a liaison between medical staff members, office staff, hospital administration, and hospital departments to ensure effective communication, timely problem resolution, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities • Maintain open communication with medical staff, office staff, administrators, and hospital departments. • Identify and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner. • Oversee the processing of all medical staff and allied health professional applications, including appointments and reappointments. • Assist the Credentials Committee with developing and maintaining documents and processes necessary for effective credentialing. • Coordinate and provide education and training to medical staff members regarding credentialing requirements, policies, and procedures. • Maintain accurate systems and records identifying medical staff members and their approved clinical privileges. • Ensure compliance with applicable medical staff bylaws, organizational policies, and regulatory and accreditation requirements. Qualifications • Experience in medical staff services, credentialing, or healthcare administration preferred. • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. • Knowledge of medical staff credentialing and privileging processes preferred.
