Registered Nurse - IMC Step-Down Location: Beaumont, TX Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Shift or Night Shift - 3 x 12-hour shifts A leading acute-care hospital in Beaumont, TX is seeking an experienced Intermediate Care (IMC) / Step-Down Registered Nurse. In this role you will practice independently, stay aware of every aspect of your patients' changing conditions, and provide both routine and complex care to patients who need more monitoring than a general floor but are ready to step down from critical care. What You'll Do • Provide nursing care through the full nursing process - assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation - consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice • Deliver routine and complex care and work toward long-range patient goals and care plans • Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families • Administer medications and treatments per protocol and monitor for side effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided • Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers • Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation What You Bring • Active RN license in Texas or a compact (multistate) license • BLS required • ACLS certification required • 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Schedule • Full-time, 3 x 12-hour shifts • Day shift and night shift positions available Orientation & Support • Nursing orientation within your first 30 days • Precepting at the bedside by a designated, trained staff member • Residency program or specialized orientation available for newly licensed RNs About i4 Search Group i4 Search Group is a healthcare recruiting firm representing this position on behalf of our client.
