Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool) Location Boston, MA | Inpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Rotating Days/Nights | 8-hour and 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend and holidays required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care across a medical surgical float pool supporting up to 15 inpatient units, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, GYN, GU, hips and joints, oncology, transplant (liver and kidney), and vascular • Perform unit-specific procedures including 12-lead EKGs, Lasix drips, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring • Administer nebulizer treatments; respiratory therapists manage ventilators • Maintain patient ratios averaging 4:1 on days and up to 6:1 on nights • Adapt to unit assignments that may be communicated as close as 2 hours before shift start; flexibility across a 2–3 week unit rotation is expected • Document and navigate patient records using Epic EMR Required Qualifications • Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission • Minimum 3 years of related RN work experience • Prior travel nursing experience required • CPR certification – AHA required • ACLS certification – AHA required • Level I trauma experience required • Epic EMR experience required • Locals are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in a teaching hospital setting • Specialty area clinical expertise (e.g., neurology, oncology, cardiac, transplant, or surgical subspecialties) • Comfort navigating web-based clinical applications Why Join Us • Gain broad clinical exposure across a large, 600-bed inpatient facility with diverse specialty units in one of the country's premier medical cities • Expected 72 hours biweekly across the assignment, with a rotating schedule that honors submitted time-off requests (up to 3 RTO days must be submitted at time of application)
