Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool) Location Boston, MA | Inpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Rotating Days/Nights and Day/Evenings | Every other weekend and holidays required | 8-week assignment with an expected 02/01 start date Key Responsibilities • Float across up to 15 medical surgical units within a 600-bed facility, supporting specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, GYN/GU, hips and joints, oncology, transplant (liver and kidney), and vascular • Maintain patient ratios averaging 4:1 on days and up to 6:1 on nights • Perform unit-specific procedures including 12-lead EKGs, Lasix drips, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring • Administer nebulizers; respiratory therapists manage ventilators • Adapt to rotating shift schedules consisting of a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts within a 4-week schedule cycle; unit assignments may be provided up to 2 hours before shift • Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission Required Qualifications • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission • Minimum 3 years of related nursing experience • Prior travel nursing experience required • CPR certification – AHA required • ACLS certification – AHA required • Level I trauma experience required • Proficiency with Epic EMR required • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications • Locals are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in a teaching hospital setting • Specialty area expertise in one or more of the supported service lines (e.g., neurology, oncology, transplant, cardiac, or vascular) Why Join Us • Expected 72 hours biweekly across the assignment, providing consistent scheduling within a large, well-established inpatient environment • Opportunity to gain broad clinical exposure across 15 diverse medical surgical units at a major academic medical center, with public transportation accessible to the facility
