Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Newburyport, MA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | No time-off requests (RTO) accepted Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry unit with rotating day and night shifts • Manage patient assignments at established unit ratios: Med/Surg 5:1 (7a–11p) and 6:1 (11p–7a); Telemetry 4:1 (7a–11p) and 5:1 (11p–7a) • Float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed • Participate in a self-scheduling model while remaining flexible to fill open scheduling needs • Adhere to all unit protocols, compliance documentation requirements, and facility credentialing standards Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Massachusetts • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience required • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled • Completion of required facility credentialing paperwork at time of submission • Local candidates are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in Telemetry nursing in addition to Medical Surgical background • Comfort with floating between unit types within the same assignment • Strong adaptability and flexibility in dynamic scheduling environments Why Join Us • Expected 72 hours biweekly across the contract assignment, providing schedule consistency (on-call hours are separate and not included in this expectation) • Opportunity to work within a well-established acute care environment with structured ratios and a collaborative scheduling approach
