An Artisan shares knowledge about products and ingredients with guests and recommends products and portion sizes. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager. • Assists the retail counters with daily operations as needed to ensure counters are running smoothly • Ensures retail supplies are in stock and being utilized properly at all stations • Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner • Slices, weighs, labels, displays, sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications • Manages transfers between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) • Provides a steady presence on the floor, constantly interacting with guests, employees, vendors and visitors • Performs other duties as required or assigned Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in food service • Knowledge of steps of service • Great communication and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of Italian products Job Requirements • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting Additional Information Benefits and Perks • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance • Paid Time Off • Paid Parental Leave • 401K with match or RRSP • Bonus program • Free family meal daily • Discounts at Eataly • Classes on products and Italian cuisine • Referral bonus program • and more!
