About the Opportunity We're working with an early-stage semiconductor startup developing next-generation hardware technologies. They're looking for a Founding Machine Learning Engineer to build AI-powered design automation systems that solve complex engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities • Build and deploy agentic AI systems to automate complex engineering workflows. • Integrate AI agents with engineering simulation, CAD, and design tools. • Develop ML models to accelerate simulations and optimise engineering processes. • Build reliable ML infrastructure and evaluation frameworks alongside hardware engineers. What We're Looking For • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Strong Python, software engineering, and applied ML experience. • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and production ML systems. • Familiarity with scientific computing, simulations, or CAD/EDA tools. • Experience with surrogate modelling, GNNs, physics-informed ML, or workflow automation is advantageous.
