ABOUT THE ROLE Sturgeon Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical General Foreman to lead crews on commercial and/or industrial projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to read blueprints, coordinate schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. We also offer design-build and pre-construction services and has in-house pre-fabrication and AutoCAD capabilities. Responsibilities • Supervise and lead electrical crews on job sites • Plan, schedule, and assign daily work activities • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications • Ensure compliance with NEC and local electrical codes • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors • Order materials and manage job site inventory • Maintain safety standards and conduct toolbox talks • Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen ABOUT YOU Qualifications • Experience running commercial electrical jobs as a General Foreman is preferred. Extensive field experience will also be considered. If you have spent years in the field and you are ready to lead, we want to talk • Previous General foreman or crew leadership experience required • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and NEC code • Ability to manage manpower and meet deadlines • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred • Valid driver's license WHAT WE OFFER Compensation & Benefits • This will be a union position. Wage depends on experience and certifications, and benefits are detailed within the applicable collective bargaining agreement. • Our General Foreman wages are set by the collective bargaining agreement with Local 68 and is $59.22.
