As an Environmental Field Technician, you will assist with hazardous waste handling, chemical blending and facility operations within a 24/7 chemical reclaim and recycling facility. This role involves supporting daily facility operations, and ensuring compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations. This is a hands-on, primarily outdoor position requiring the ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions, with overtime built-in your weekly schedule. This position involves a 6 day work week and has openings on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. Position Responsibilities: Perform material handling within a chemical reclaim and recycling facility Sort, move, categorize, manifest, and label hazardous and non-hazardous materials Assist with spill response and facility clean-up operations Operate equipment and tools in support of facility operations Work with HazMat and DOT documentation and compliance requirements Maintain safe handling, storage, and transport of materials Follow all EH&S rules, regulations, and safety protocols Position Qualifications: Hazmat or material handling experience preferred OSHA 40 Hazwoper (training provided) Willingness to work outdoors Weekend availability (6-day work week) Position Type & Benefits: Contract-to-hire opportunity with a large environmental services organization Opportunity to convert to a permanent, full-time role upon successful completion of probationary period PTO / Medical coverage / 401(k) / Tuition reimbursement Transparent, structured, merit-based pay increases Access to advanced training and certifications (Black Seal Boiler license, CDL certification/Class A) Clear pathways for long-term career growth and financial advancement Pay Range: $20/hr. - $22/hr.
