Full description

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As a Technical Program Manager for the GDO Developer team, you will serve as a technical and strategic leader driving the Geo’s multi-ecosystem priorities (e.g. Destinations) and Makers Data Quality programs. You will act as a critical bridge between product requirements and geospatial data execution. You will lead high-complexity pillars involving AI, telemetry, and spatial analysis to establish "self-healing" pipelines from developer logs and scale spatial remediation initiatives. You’ll maintain strong alignment with executive leads, Product Managers, and Engineering counterparts to deliver on team goals. The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives. The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. Responsibilities • Collaborate with Geo Makers and Real World Model PMs to interpret product goal and convert overarching roadmaps into actionable, high-impact data initiatives. • Partner with PM, Engineering and Data Science to implement coverage and quality improvement strategies and drive spatial remediation efforts globally. • Steer technical experiments and analytics for data coverage and validation, utilizing agentic AI frameworks, Gemini-powered workflows, and machine learning models. • Manage operational metrics, review evaluations, structure data acquisition business cases, and direct program pipelines efficiently. • Prepare and deliver regular communications, presentations, and reports. Establish and maintain effective governance processes for Geo Data initiatives for developers. Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • 5 years of experience in program management. • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and the implementation of GenAI-driven moderation frameworks. • Experience running technical programs and utilizing data analysis tools. Preferred qualifications: • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. • Experience working with external developers and APIs.
