This position is available in our Boston, MA office on a flex basis. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in urban infrastructure, specifically in the delivery of roadways, curb, and sidewalk restoration projects. They must demonstrate a high aptitude for identifying and resolving surface restoration conflicts, working safely, and working in a Team centered environment. Additionally, proficiency in documentation of contractor operations is required to ensure alignment with engineering plans and specifications. Responsibilities: • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of Civil Engineering and Construction Methods, Materials and Equipment including state DOT Standards and Specifications. • Responsible for interpreting plans and specifications as required to prepare, present, evaluate, monitor, and maintain project records and documents. • Follow and adhere to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures including but not limited to, safety, ADA requirements, or environmental regulations. Qualifications: • BA/BS degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field. • 5-6 years of related experience in construction inspection or oversight of urban surface restoration activities, Massachusetts DOT construction inspections or management. • Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of drawings, plans, specifications, and general contract documents. • Valid state driver’s license. • Ability to work under unfavorable weather conditions year-round and traverse rough, steep terrain while performing duties. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $30.39-$50.72.
