Senior Compliance Analyst Job Summary / Introduction We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Analyst to provide compliance oversight across annuity products, including product development, regulatory filings, sales practices, and contract administration. The successful candidate will have strong insurance compliance experience, a sound understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to identify risks and implement effective controls. Skills & Experience Significant experience in insurance compliance, ideally within life insurance or annuities. Strong knowledge of annuity regulations, product compliance, sales practices, and contract administration. Experience preparing and submitting regulatory filings through SERFF and responding to regulatory queries. Understanding of annuity suitability and best-interest requirements, including applicable SEC and FINRA regulations. Experience conducting compliance reviews, risk assessments, monitoring, and regulatory research. Knowledge of anti-money laundering, privacy, data protection, records retention, and producer licensing requirements. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Ability to manage complex assignments independently and provide guidance to colleagues. Detailed Job Description Annuity Product Compliance Provide compliance oversight throughout the annuity product lifecycle, including development, distribution, and administration. Prepare and submit product forms, riders, endorsements, and regulatory filings to state insurance departments and the Interstate Insurance Compact. Review customer disclosures, sales materials, advertising, and marketing content for regulatory compliance. Support annuity suitability and best-interest programmes, including producer training and disclosure requirements. Oversee compliance relating to contract servicing, amendments, replacements, and other post-sale activities. Support compliance for registered annuity products, including applicable SEC and FINRA requirements. Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on their impact. Collaborate with Legal, Product, Operations, Distribution, and Marketing teams to resolve compliance issues. Compliance Analysis & Risk Management Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, monitoring activities, and regulatory research. Interpret legislation and regulatory guidance, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions. Develop and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support regulatory change management and implementation across relevant business areas. Maintain accurate documentation of compliance decisions, reviews, and recommendations. Support wider compliance programmes covering anti-money laundering, data protection, records retention, and producer licensing. Prepare and review regulatory reports and filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Escalate significant compliance risks and issues to management.
