Senior iOS Engineer Overview We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications. This individual will play a key role in building scalable, reliable, and intuitive mobile experiences while contributing to application architecture, engineering best practices, and the overall direction of the mobile platform. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Swift, modern iOS development, and mobile application architecture, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and take ownership of features from concept through release. Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality iOS applications for iPhone and other Apple devices. • Build intuitive, responsive user interfaces using SwiftUI and UIKit. • Contribute to application architecture, technical design decisions, and long-term platform strategy. • Write clean, maintainable, efficient code following established engineering standards and best practices. • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Ensure application performance, reliability, security, and scalability. • Implement automated testing, debugging, and monitoring to maintain application quality. • Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver features that meet business and user needs. • Integrate REST APIs and backend services into mobile applications. • Identify technical challenges and recommend practical solutions that balance quality, maintainability, and delivery timelines. • Contribute to build, deployment, and release processes, including App Store submissions. • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to support the growth of the engineering team. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of professional iOS application development experience. • Strong proficiency in Swift and a solid understanding of the iOS SDK and Apple development ecosystem. • Experience building and maintaining production iOS applications. • Familiarity with modern iOS development frameworks, including SwiftUI and UIKit. • Understanding of iOS application architecture, design patterns, memory management, and application lifecycle. • Experience with asynchronous programming, including Swift Concurrency (async/await) and/or Combine. • Familiarity with data persistence technologies such as Core Data, SwiftData, or other local storage solutions. • Experience integrating REST APIs and working with backend services. • Understanding of mobile application testing, debugging, performance optimization, and crash analysis. • Experience with Git, code reviews, and collaborative software development workflows. • Experience with App Store release processes and application lifecycle management. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of technical deliverables. Preferred Qualifications • Extensive experience with SwiftUI and modern declarative UI development. • Familiarity with XCTest, XCUITest, or other iOS testing frameworks. • Knowledge of mobile application security, authentication, encryption, and secure data storage. • Experience with Apple's Keychain, Secure Enclave, or other platform security capabilities. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and release processes. • Experience with performance monitoring, crash reporting, and application analytics. • Knowledge of dependency management tools such as Swift Package Manager or CocoaPods. • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical standards and architectural decisions. • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional product teams.
