An employee in this class provides leadership to a team performing tasks related to the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of buildings, grounds, and facilities, including playgrounds, pool equipment, fields, and trails. The employee serves as team leader participating in the work of the team and ensuring work is completed safely and according to departmental standards, which includes providing work assignments, on-the-job training, quality control, and performance coaching. The employee also operates various equipment, assists the team in daily activities, and performs special projects as assigned. Work also includes completing work orders, providing input into hiring decisions, coaching and training new employees and providing input into disciplinary actions. This position reports to the Parks Operations Supervisor. This position does not have supervisory duties.
