Job Title Travel RN – Medical Oncology Location Tallahassee, FL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend as needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed inpatient Medical Oncology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio • Conduct hourly rounds during day shift and every two hours after 9:00 PM to support patient experience standards • Document patient care and assessments using the Meditech electronic documentation system • Utilize unit technology including electronic white boards, iPhones with iMobile, and remote telemetry equipment • Collaborate with unit secretaries, CNAs, Charge RN, Clinical Manager, and Director as part of a multidisciplinary team • Float to other units as needed per facility policy; travel nurses are first to float Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid in the state of Florida • Current BLS certification required • Inpatient oncology nursing experience • Strong patient-first attitude and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care Preferred Experience / Skills • ONS chemotherapy training (note: inpatient chemotherapy administration is performed by core nursing staff with ONS chemo training) • Specialty certification in Med-Surg, Palliative Care, or Oncology Nursing (ONS) • Prior experience with Meditech documentation system • Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring Why Join Us • Work within a unit recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction in Medical Surgical Nursing and part of a facility designated as a Hospital of the Future, with frequent pilots of new technology and supplies • Join a well-supported unit with consistent staffing resources including unit secretaries, CNAs, a Charge RN, and clinical leadership present each shift
