Job Title Travel RN – Neurology / Medical Surgical Location Gainesville, FL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical / Neurology unit within a full-service acute care facility • Care for post-operative and general medical patients requiring close monitoring and clinical intervention • Administer blood products and TPN as ordered; travelers are not expected to administer chemotherapy • Operate and monitor unit equipment including PCA pumps, SCDs, oxygen delivery systems, and suction • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using the Meditech EMR • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs and PCTs to maintain safe patient ratios and quality care Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid in the state of Florida (or compact license eligibility) • Demonstrated Medical-Surgical nursing experience — candidates without this background will not be considered • Proficiency with standard acute care equipment (PCA, SCD, oxygen, suction) • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment Preferred Experience / Skills • Oncology nursing experience — candidates with this background will be given priority consideration • Prior experience with Meditech EMR • Experience caring for post-operative patients in an acute care setting Why Join Us • Join a unit within a fully accredited, Joint Commission-recognized acute care facility offering a broad scope of specialty services including cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, and neurosciences • Work alongside a caring, experienced team in a facility with a strong reputation for clinical excellence in North Central Florida
