Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Fargo, ND | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients on a 47-bed unit with a 5:1 day shift and 6:1 night shift nurse-to-patient ratio • Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting • Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Philips monitors, and Telemetry • Badge in and out of the facility for all shifts; wear Navy Blue scrubs per facility policy • Float to other Medical Surgical units across campuses as needed Required Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200+ beds, Level 2 or higher trauma center) • Travel nursing experience required, unless candidate has extensive experience in a large Level 1 facility • Active North Dakota RN license or compact state RN license (please specify issuing state) • BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required • Proficiency with Epic EMR • Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be considered at a local travel rate Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with Surgical Oncology patients • Familiarity with AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Philips monitors, and Telemetry equipment Why Join Us • Structured onboarding program including lead center training and preceptored shifts on the unit to support a smooth transition • Opportunity to work in a dynamic Medical Surgical environment with exposure to a diverse patient population including Surgical Oncology
