Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Telemetry) Location Naperville, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 8 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Start Time 07:00 | Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) | Holiday coverage as needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, including monitoring and managing patients with neurological and vascular conditions • Care for patients with CVA/TIA, subdural hematomas, and seizure disorders within a neuro telemetry setting • Support post-operative recovery for surgical oncology patients following procedures such as Whipple surgeries, esophagectomies, and colon resections — no chemotherapy administration required • Manage vascular surgery patients post-peripheral angiogram, including those with PAD with wounds and status-post amputations • Float to like units as operationally needed • Complete orientation as scheduled, including non-billable orientation hours Required Qualifications • Active Illinois RN License required; temporary licenses accepted — candidates must be actively in the process of obtaining a permanent license and must provide a receipt confirming submission of their permanent license application • BLS certification required • ACLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Minimum 2 years of RN experience; new graduates are not eligible • Prior travel nursing experience required Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in neuro telemetry with a focus on CVA/TIA, subdural hematomas, and seizure disorder management • Background in surgical oncology post-operative care (Whipple, esophagectomy, colon resection) • Experience with vascular surgery patients, including post-angiogram care, PAD wound management, and post-amputation care • Proficiency with Epic EMR Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment with a diverse and clinically complex patient population • Bi-weekly pay with a straightforward credentialing process — credentials due the Thursday prior to start date
