Job Title Travel RN – PCU (Progressive Care Unit) Location Tallahassee, FL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 48 hours/week available Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit within a large acute-care hospital setting • Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols • Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid in the state of Florida (or compact license eligibility) • Current BLS certification required • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent PCU, IMC, or Step-Down nursing experience • Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) • Must meet travel nursing eligibility requirements Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in a high-volume or large acute-care hospital environment • Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry in a step-down setting • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a fully accredited, multi-specialty acute-care facility offering exposure to a wide range of clinical programs and services • Located in Florida's capital city, offering a blend of natural beauty, cultural attractions, and year-round activities for travel professionals
