Job Title Travel RN – Medical Oncology Location Tallahassee, FL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend as needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical Oncology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio • Conduct hourly rounding on day shift and 2-hour rounding after 9:00 PM to support patient experience standards • Utilize electronic documentation via Meditech and communicate using iPhones with iMobile technology • Monitor patients via remote telemetry and utilize electronic white boards for unit coordination • Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, Charge RN, Clinical Manager, and Director as part of an interdisciplinary care team • Be available to float to other units as needed; travelers are first to float per facility policy Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid in the state of Florida • Current BLS certification required • Prior Medical Oncology nursing experience • Strong patient-first attitude and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care Preferred Experience / Skills • ONS chemotherapy training (note: inpatient chemotherapy administration is performed by core nursing staff with ONS chemo training) • Specialty certification in Med-Surg, Palliative Care, or Oncology Nursing (ONS) • Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems and remote telemetry monitoring Why Join Us • Work within a fully accredited, acute-care facility recognized as a designated Hospital of the Future, with frequent pilots of new technology and supplies • Join a unit that has received recognition for excellence in Medical-Surgical Nursing, supported by an experienced and tenured staff
