Job Title Registered Nurse – Oncology Location Paducah, KY | Outpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors in accordance with RN scope of practice and applicable policies and procedures. • Develop individualized care plans, determine desired outcomes in coordination with patients and families, and fully implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice. • Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process. • Provide patient and family-centered education, identifying and addressing educational needs based on level of comprehension and prioritized problems. • Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders and coordination with case management and other team members. • Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing. Required Qualifications • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required. • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members. • Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications. • Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures. Preferred Experience / Skills • Previous nursing experience in an oncology or related clinical setting. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). • ONS Chemotherapy Administration Provider Card.
