Job Title Registered Nurse – MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) Location Dayton, OH | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract (13 or 18 weeks available) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed, fast-paced, high-acuity ICU with targeted patient ratios of 1:2–3 • Assist with and support bedside procedures including Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Tracheostomy, and G-Tube placement • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ICP monitoring, arterial lines, Flotrac monitoring, BIS, and train-of-four • Recover patients immediately post-operatively as assigned • Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; pass an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to start • Float within the hospital or to nearby campuses based on census and skill set, including potential assignment to high-risk respiratory units Required Qualifications • Active RN license in any U.S. state or valid compact license (license must be obtained prior to contract start date) • BLS and ACLS certifications required • Demonstrated competency with tracheostomy care and cardiac rhythm interpretation • Epic EMR experience required • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience in a large hospital setting (Level I preferred; Level II experience considered) • Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday; holiday scheduling is assigned at manager's discretion • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior travel nursing experience • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center ICU • Familiarity with high-risk respiratory patient populations Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a high-acuity, technology-rich ICU environment with exposure to advanced monitoring and bedside procedures • Winter contract options available with flexible contract lengths of 13 or 18 weeks to fit your schedule
