Job Title Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU Location Dayton, OH | Acute Care / Comprehensive Stroke Center ICU Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Neuro ICU setting, treating neurological diseases and disorders including seizures and strokes within a comprehensive stroke center • Care for overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU as needed • Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring and assessment • Float within the specialty cluster or to nearby campus locations as directed, accepting medically appropriate assignments or supporting the nursing care team of the unit floated to • Be available to work every other weekend and holiday as required • Complete up to 24 hours of orientation modules upon assignment start Required Qualifications • Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted) • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital setting with some neurological experience • Minimum 2 years of total RN nursing experience • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Proficiency in Epic EMR (required for this inpatient role) • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in a high-acuity, large hospital ICU environment • Comfort with floating to multiple units or campus locations based on census and skill set • Familiarity with dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG assessment Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a dynamic, comprehensive stroke center ICU environment gaining exposure to a broad range of complex neurological cases • Expected schedule of 4x12-hour day shifts with a structured 13-week contract assignment
