Job Title Registered Nurse – Step Down (IMC/PCU) Location Dayton, OH | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Step Down/IMC/PCU setting with targeted patient ratios of 1:4 (ratios may reach 1:5–6 based on census) • Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and cardiac monitoring; EKG/dysrhythmia competency assessment required prior to start • Care for patients on stable chronic ventilators as part of routine unit assignments • Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR (required) • Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated campuses based on census and skill set, as directed • Maintain availability to work every other weekend and holiday as required Required Qualifications • Active RN license in any U.S. state or valid compact license • BLS and ACLS certifications required • NIH Stroke Scale certification required • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience • Demonstrated experience with stable chronic ventilator patients • Proficiency with Epic EMR is required for this role • Must successfully complete an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment within 72 hours of signing contract • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • IV insertion certification or demonstrated IV start proficiency • Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility • Prior travel nursing experience Why Join Us • Overtime may be available for those on a 48-hour contract, with overtime calculated after 48 hours • Up to 24 hours of orientation modules are billable, supporting a smooth transition into the role
