Job Title Social Worker – MSW (Master of Social Work) | Oncology Support Services Location Anchorage, AK | Outpatient Clinic / Cancer Care Center Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Block schedule accommodations available Key Responsibilities • Provide oncology-focused social work services to patients and families within an outpatient cancer care setting • Assess patient and family psychosocial needs and connect individuals with appropriate community programs, insurance resources, and financial aid • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate supportive services throughout the cancer care continuum • Document all patient interactions and care coordination activities accurately using Epic • Support patients in navigating complex healthcare systems and community-based resources Required Qualifications • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree required • Active, unencumbered Alaska state social work license required — pending licensure not accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission • Minimum of 1 year of professional social work experience • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records is required • Knowledge of community programs, insurance resources, and financial assistance programs • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in oncology or cancer care settings strongly preferred • BLS certification preferred • First-time travel clinicians are welcome to apply Why Join Us • Work within a nationally recognized Magnet-designated facility known for clinical excellence • Expected 72 hours per two-week pay period, with free on-site parking and business casual attire
