Job Title Registered Nurse – Step Down (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) Location Dayton, OH | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract (13- or 18-week) | Nights, 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Step Down/IMC/PCU setting with targeted patient ratios of 1:4 (ratios may reach 1:5–6 based on census) • Manage and monitor stable chronic ventilator patients as part of routine unit care • Perform cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation • Complete all documentation and charting using Epic EMR • Float within the hospital or to nearby facilities within the health system based on census and skill set, as directed • Maintain availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday throughout the contract Required Qualifications • Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted) • BLS and ACLS certifications required • NIH Stroke Scale certification required • Epic EMR experience required • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience • Must pass an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing) • Experience with stable chronic ventilator patients required • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • IV Start certification preferred • Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred • Prior travel nursing experience preferred Why Join Us • Flexible contract lengths of 13 or 18 weeks, with expected weekly hours of 36 or 48 — overtime may be available for those on a 48-hour contract after 48 hours worked • Opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic acute care environment with exposure to multiple campuses and specialty clusters
