Job Title Physical Therapist – Outpatient Location Oak Hill, WV | Outpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) | Schedule flexibility available (4x10 or 5x8) Key Responsibilities • Provide outpatient physical therapy evaluations (one hour per eval) and treatments (45 minutes per session) with a 1:4 patient ratio • Treat a diverse adult and geriatric caseload including joint replacements, CVA, fractures, pain, neurological conditions, deconditioning, and vestibular issues; occasional pediatric and adolescent patients • Collaborate with seasoned PTAs, as well as Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy colleagues within the same clinic • Cover approximately one Saturday per month at an inpatient/acute rehab unit, with a compensatory day off during that same week • Document patient care using Cerner electronic health records Required Qualifications • Active West Virginia Physical Therapist license (pending WV licensure accepted for submission, but licensure must be obtained prior to start) • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience • BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred) • Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption with documented allergist or physician record accepted • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis • Former permanent employees of the health system must have a minimum 2-year gap from last date of permanent employment before being eligible for a travel contract Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience treating joint replacement, neurological, and vestibular patient populations • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records • Comfort working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic environment Why Join Us • Located near the New River Gorge area, offering abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, rafting, and mountain climbing • Supportive clinic environment with dedicated administrative staff handling insurance, seasoned PTA colleagues, and schedule flexibility to accommodate individual preferences
