Job Title Surgical Services – OR Tech / Surgical Tech Location Mission Hills, CA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 1 weekend shift expected every 4 weeks | Holiday commitment required (must be available for 3 of 5: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Key Responsibilities • Perform scrub technologist duties in the operating room, supporting surgical teams across procedures • Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies • Assist surgeons and surgical staff during operative procedures in an acute care environment • Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and charting • Adhere to facility protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines Required Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of surgical technologist experience required • Active BLS certification required • NBSTSA or NCCT certification required • Valid state license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission • Local candidates are welcome; locals accepted at applicable rate • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission — post-submission RTO may not be considered Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience in a Magnet-designated facility • Familiarity with Epic EMR • Experience working in a high-volume acute care or hospital-based OR setting Why Join Us • Opportunity to work at a Magnet-designated acute care facility with a collaborative surgical team • Free on-site parking available
