Job Title Registered Nurse – Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum Location Mission Hills, CA | Acute Care Hospital Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) Key Responsibilities • Provide postpartum nursing care within a couplet care model at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio • Care for high-risk obstetric patients, including those requiring magnesium sulfate postpartum management • Float rotationally within the division to competency, including L&D for recoveries and NICU to assist with feeding, soothing, and changing babies as directed • Participate in on-call requirements as assigned • Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records • Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day Required Qualifications • Active, unencumbered RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted • Minimum of 3 years of Mother-Baby / Postpartum nursing experience • BLS certification required • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required • Proficiency with Epic charting system • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidacy; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered • Must live within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and magnesium sulfate postpartum care • Prior experience floating to L&D or NICU in a support capacity • Familiarity with Magnet facility standards and culture Why Join Us • Work at a recognized Magnet-designated acute care facility with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment • Free on-site parking available for all staff
