🌎 About selfpublishing.com
We help purpose-driven people write, publish, and grow with a book. Our mission is to help 100,000 people publish a book by 2035, impacting 120M+ lives through what we call Leveraged Impact. (Hear more in our TEDx talk.)
We are a bootstrapped, eight-figure company with no outside investors. We have made the INC 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies four times (2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022), and our team works together in person at our office in West Lake Hills.
Our philosophy:
• 💡 It's not about the book. It's about what the book does for you.
• 🚀 Self-publishing isn't just an option. It's the best option.
This is not a typical admin job. You will be the right hand to Chandler Bolt, founder and CEO of selfpublishing.com, author of seven bestselling books, and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. Your job is to protect his time and attention so he can focus on growth, content, and partnerships.
It is a blended Executive Assistant and Personal Assistant role. Some days you are running a packed calendar and an inbox. Other days you are planning travel, handling a home project, or getting the office ready for an event. If you love being one step ahead of a fast-moving leader, this is your seat.
🎯 What success looks like in your first 90 days
• You own Chandler's calendar and inbox triage, and his mornings stay protected for deep work.
• Travel, events, and personal logistics run end to end without reminders.
• Meetings start on time, with the right prep, and every follow-up gets closed.
• You have tightened the systems that run the CEO office (Asana, Slack, Google Workspace).
• The team knows you as the person who gets things done.
💼 What you will do
• Manage the CEO's calendar, email, meetings, and travel.
• Prioritize tasks and communications so he stays focused on key decisions.
• Handle personal tasks and household logistics to free up time for business growth.
• Run office operations, resources, and supplies so things stay smooth.
• Manage travel and operations budgets with an eye for savings.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other business documents.
• Help grow our presence in Austin as one of the best places to work.
• Keep sensitive information confidential, always.
👀 What we are looking for

• You live in the Austin area, within about a 30 minute drive of our West Lake Hills office. This role is in the office Monday through Friday.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and systems-minded.
• An excellent communicator with strong people skills and emotional intelligence.
• Resourceful and calm under pressure. You solve problems before anyone has to ask.
• Discreet and trustworthy with business and personal information.
⭐️ Bonus points if you
• Have supported both the business and personal side of an executive's life.
• Are obsessed with process and love building simple systems.
• Have experience with Slack, Asana, HubSpot, or Google Workspace.
• Are a confident decision maker who can juggle many things at once.
